In this workshop you will learn how to build and manage the Air:bit drone. We will focus on how to use the micro:bit as a sender and receiver.

You will learn how to code and program the micro:bit to send short text-based user input over the radio, and modify the receiver to move the Air:bit drone when an incoming text is received. This by using block programming in Make:code.

What you learn:

  • Components, motors, propellers, battery and sensors
  • Block or java programming in Make:code
  • Real-time measurements of temperature, acceleration and battery voltage
  • Design and print your own drone frame
  • Mathematics: geometry, functions and scaling

This workshop is suitable for interdisciplinary work in science, mathematics, engineering, technology, arts and crafts, physics, ethics and language subjects such as Norwegian and English.
